Pressure on us - Nyangweso

Updated on 22/02/12  |    By TIMOTHY OLOBULU

Ulinzi Stars coach Benjamin Nyangweso says that they will be under pressure in the KPL top 8 Knock out tournament especially with their tag as the defending Champions. Ulinzi Stars beat Western Stima 2-1 in the finals last year to win the trophy.

“Being the defending Champions is always a hard task. Many teams will be coming hard at us with the motivation to beat the Champions. That will bring pressure on our side but as soldiers we are not afraid of anything. We are going to take each team head on”, he says.

In the second edition of the Tournament, Ulinzi has been drawn against Chemelil Sugar in the fourth round match of the two legged knock out tournament.

“Considering the way they played last season, Chemelil is not an easy team, but I am satisfied and happy with the draw. Last year we beat them 4-0 and I believe we will have a repeat of the same and we will beat them again. We are prepared to defend our title”, said Nyangweso.

But Chemelil coach Edward Manoah has promised a hard fight against the champions promising to revenge their last season’s embarrassing crashing in Nakuru.

“We know they are the champions and it will not be easy playing against them. But, its revenge time for us”, he said.
