Koops wary of 'Zambia like' Oserian

AFC Leopards Head coach Jan Koops has hinted that his side will not be expecting an easy stroll when they play Oserian FC in their third league match of the season on Saturday at the Nyayo National Stadium.

Speaking exclusively to Michezoafrika.com, Koops equates Oserian to Zambia and their conquest in the African Cup of Nations.

“I watched them play against Rangers in their first league match and they are like Zambia. That is the kind of team that does not have any superstar but they play and move as a team. They play very well in all departments and it is no easy team at all. We do not expect a walk in the park”, Koops says.

He however adds that they will be gunning for victory and a continuation of their unbeaten run when they face the flower men.

“We have gone for 15 matches conceding only five goals. That goes to show that we have a very strong team and that is what we want to continue holding onto. My players are all fit and the form is is great. We do not want to slow down anywhere”, he says.

Koops also says that Rwandese defender Jonas Nahimana is expected in the country on Friday and will have one training session with the team before the Saturday match.

“Nahimana will jet in on Friday and he will train with us in the evening. He is a very important player to us, a very dependable defender and that is why we want him to be with us”, he adds.
