Football Kenya chairman Sam Nyamweya has said that he is perturbed with the not so impressive performance by Kenyan Teams in CAF Continental Championship. The Chairman says that he will advise the coach of the National team to help out whenever a Kenyan team is going to play in a continental matches.

“It is very disappointing to see our teams performing poorly in CAF Competitions. I will instruct the coach of the National team to help out whenever a team is going to represent Kenya. The coach of the national team will not be a coach of any other team in the league, and this will be part of his mandate”, Nyamweya says.

Also, Nyamweya said that all premier League coaches should be part of the national team’s preparations adding that Harambee Stars is not just the property of one person but all Kenyans.

“We want our national team to succeed and I would like to urge all coaches to be part of this success. I would like them to be like advisors to the National team coach whenever we are almost playing a very crucial match, their advise is very valuable since they understand their players more”, Nyamweya says.

Speaking on behalf of other KPL Chairmen, Leopards Chairman Alex Ole Magelo supported Nyamweya’s sentiments adding that they (The Chairmen) would give their coaches to assist in the national team.

“We are ready to give our coaches to assist the national team. We are patriotic and even if our teams do not have a single player in the national team, we still have to support them”, he says.

“It is up to us to motivate these young boys and also to nurture this baby, Harambee Stars.”, he adds.
